(Italian for "Greetings")
We have been silent on this blog for a long time, but it's time to update all of you on our recent travels! We have just returned from a 5-country, 63-day adventure of central Europe and Italy.
We first concocted this scheme about a year and a half ago as a great way to commemorate our 25th wedding anniversary. We didn't stop to think that our ambitious travel schedule and all the planning that went along with it would cause us to pause and re-think our commitment to spending the next 25 years together! Fortunately, our trip was long enough for us to settle-in to a routine of packing, unpacking and delegating responsibilities, and by the time our trip ended we were polished pros. On returning home we both decided that this was a pretty good life together and we made the commitment to "re-up" for another 25!
Many of you have been asking us about our trip and have expressed an interest in photos, but in the spirit of sharing and of NOT having your eyes glaze over with our 500+ photos (yes, I edited DOWN to that #), we have decided to take you on our journey with this blog and photos for each week of our trip.
So, settle back and grab a cuppa and we will try to capture for you the sights, smells, foods, and fun of our amazing adventure for the next 8 weeks.
